Gyeongju, South Korea
Time zones were a bit rough with working in South Korea so I did eventually decide one day to head out for some night photography of some of the Silla dynasty sites in the area. One landmark that I always found really cool was this reconstruction of dynasty era bridge that they've built near the other archaeological sites. The landscape around isn't very historical or pleasing to the eye but they did conveniently place stepping stones across the river making for a great photo spot with the advantage at night that it wasn't completely chock full of tourists jostling and almost falling into the water. A very fascinating architecture and decorative style with always these very cool turquoise interior roofs with intricate patterns overlayed. Also very close to a very fun architectural revival style neighbourhood of lots of snacks and shops that is pretty fun to buy from and wander around.
