Blue Mountains, Australia
Very exciting after hiking around all day in the blue mountains when unexpectedly there was a Wallaby hanging out and chomping away along the cliffs paths. I had lugged all my gear down below in the valleys so felt very vindicated too in spotting a Wallaby! I imagine for Australians maybe this is like someone getting stoked over a deer but was very exicting for this Canadian. At first we both froze and they jumped off into the bush but then they carefully came back and went about their munching and grooming while I took some photos of them trying to carefully shoot through all the blades of grass and tree limbs. I think I spent close to an hour there before the Wallaby moved up the slope in their grazing.
