This was one of those show up to a cool looking area I had explored earlier and hope for the best kinda compositions. I had walked along this section of river a few times while out and about and liked the way that the staircases and buildings came together across the river overall but didn't see a clear composition. So I had spent a bunch of time here trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to be capturing when all of a sudden these rowers and kayakers started going by. Generally I try and leave folks alone with photos but here as they were part of the larger story of the scene I swivelled back to this composition so I could capture them in the foreground really giving life to the larger scene. Otherwise I felt like with such long foreground the action of the scene was too far in the background to justify that and the composition didn't really feel right with a larger zoom going on.
