On this day the sea lion was being an absolute menace too where I was carefully watching a chill marine iguana swimming along before this critter darted in quickly chasing it along biting at its tail. It clearly could have caught it and maybe ate it but instead just kept gnawing on the marine iguanas tail. The sea lion chased it right up the volcanic rock wall and still was chewing on the iguanas tail too as it tried to climb to safety! It's a bit hard to see since the iguanas camouflage so well into the rocks there but just above the open mouth of the sea lion in this picture is the iguana tail not yet free from torment. Honestly anecdotally if a sea lion was a around very little else was around as they were likely to be either made into food or play things it seemed.
