Maybe one day I'll summon the courage to post the shot right before this that I missed focus on with the sea lion shooting bubbles perfectly and directly at my camera after doing a ton of back-flips below me. But coming back to this one I'm actually delighted with how in frame I got this little buddy during the flyby. The water was incredibly clear this day and all the surfers were coming back into town extremely disappointed but for me that was excellent news with much clearer water so I was able to get extremely clear shots. I had swam into this little lava tube canyon and was looking about when the sea lion darted in and decided to flip about and then come up and shoot bubbles directly at me. Honestly any living creature was a target for mischief on this day. At one point the sea lion was chasing and torturing a marine iguana that swam by nipping at its tail all the way out of the water as it scaled a rock wall to safety.
