Alhambra, Granada, Spain
I sort of regret editing this photo as usually I would just bin this in my for personal pleasure shots and move on with my life. But scrolling through looking for photos to delete from my machine for memory I couldn't help remember for this set just how strongly I was pulled into the doorway each time. One the architecture and the reliefs I find incredible and one of the coolest building complexes in the world. And two the way the airiness of the light would blow into the rooms almost and also reveal the portals out over the fascinating old quarter was arresting. So here I am at four thirty in the morning finally finishing very carefully blending exposures to reveal both those aspects together. And I'm now a little worried because there may be more potential in my throwaways than I thought before which adds even more compositions to the impossibly large pile I would like to go through and publish some things from here. Truly an incredibly beautiful place and the Nasrid art and architecture linger in my mind ever since.
