Copenhagen, Denmark
A very cool collection of sculptures is hidden away along a waterway in Copenhagen with some excellent lighting conditions. I stumbled across them by accident when wandering around the waterfront with some time off for a change. What really caught my though was the matching colour tone cast in the reflection of the building across the water that complemented the copper of the statue. Which then with the lighting of the sunset able to cut through a water passage under another building made for I though two really nice contrasting colour tones. The cool copper tones on the statue and the left water and then the warmer tones of the setting sun along the right and bottom and matching in the small island the statue sits upon. A very intersting sculpture too and not too far from the original work it is created in juxtaposition too and honestly more interesting. There is also an entire set of really neat statues along a fountain plaza too. What is really too bad is how lifeless and sterile the neighbourhood they are placed in feels. Everytime I passed through seemed very empty and hallow. But maybe that accentuates the work more too though.
