Miyanoura, Yakushima, Japan
This was a another reminder many rivers have tides. But wet feet aside I spied this river area and was curious what the dense foliage would be like to try and capture. The mists and fogs that would roll down the river as a second layer meant no colour reflected from the sky above but instead I got this very bright cloud that made for I think an interesting change in the lighting. And instead of a mirrored reflection that water was so shallow and clear that the patterns of the river bed were shown instead too. And of course there was what looked like an interesting abandoned pump station too tucked away that caught my eye and drew up the river this far too.
