I'm worried if I edit all my turtle photos from the galapagos my portfolio will just become turtles and the occasional landscape. Here I had finally gotten the hand after many weekends of underwater photography of camera positioning in the water to be able to attempt some composition work. I've gone back and forth on if this should be cropped but there's something about capturing the line of fish flowing to the turtle, the way it hung between strokes in the water gliding ahead of me looking over its shoulder, and the expanse of blue obscurity of the more turbid waters ahead that appeals to me visually. This area was really neat in a combination of clear and clouded water making for lots of dynamic lighting and conditions as I followed around various turtles and sharks. And we also found and rescued a dog randomly stranded starving and thirsty on the beach too!
