It is nice coming back to these iceberg shots. And honestly other shots I probably won't post here because I now think they are bad but that is kind of a relief as at least I have been improving! I was so impressed with smoothness of the water heading out to these despite a bunch of boats all circling. Everyone coordinated so there was very little disruption to the water and there was very little wind making for this undulating pattern on the surface. It is so fun trying to make compositions with huge icebergs (for me) like these too. Constantly evolving patterns, each so different, constantly changing light and reflection off both ice and water, etc. And importantly too the occasional for scale boat wanders into the shot too! It was also cool that these were so isolated too. Any of the others I have tried to capture tend to be breaking off a nearby glacier which is a very different composition than a singular giant slowly pirouetting across the ocean.
