Drangarnir, Faroe Islands
Normally this would not be that interesting of a scene I think. But because the tide was coming in with so little wind it was tracing very cool patterns along the beach and I think really enhance the scene. Now it has a very interesting foreground swirl of water captured, then the silhouette of Drangarnir in the distance, and the colour and textures of the sunset in the background. Not perfect, but I went from being sad at a potentially dud location to being much happier with the final composition. Though reviewing my photos from exploring with my phone I think maybe it would have been a good idea to also have captured the footsteps in the sand leading back to the picturesque village. But I suppose this way I was more focused on the incoming tide and not being drowned. It was also nice to get a different kind of shot of Drangarnir as the season for hiking was ended and it would not be possible to get out to cliffs edge where the dramatic and famous composition is usually taken. So that will have to be for another day if ever as it is a bit absurd to spend so much money to a random farmer to take a short walk to a cliffs edge for a 1 hour photo op.
