Driving 1600km in a day was so dumb in hindsight, I really should have budgetted for at least a one night sleep all the way out here since I was based out of Hella in the south. But I made it for the sunrise and had the place to myself like most sites in Iceland (seriously at least in 2018 using the midnight sun was the best thing ever) until conveniently blue jacket showed up so I had some scale for the photos! And I do really like this composition and perspective too even if it was a wild drive out here and I didn't even have the energy to try the otherside of the river/canyon for comps. But looking through these 8 years later it does like the really firey lighting of sunrise through the mists turned out better than I anticipated at the time so I may edit those too!
