Bosdalafossur, Faroe Islands
Here I decided to swivel over to a longer shot while I still had some light leftover from the sunset. Mostly to see what I could with the coast line composition while having a neutral density filter on my lens which I hadn't set up fast enough to get on my telephoto and then get my telephoto on the tripod desparetly watching the sky drain of colour is how I imagine that would have gone. Photos like this one really drive home to me just how much water is thrown into the air when waves brake on a shoreline. I am a bit of a beginner when it comes to ocean stuff having grown in the prairies where like not seeing the land on the other side of a body of water felt a bit like a eldritch horror story. But it makes a huge impact for photos I find all over in particular if there's artifical lighting too. Here because of the bank of clouds in the background I sort of like how the mistiness has the cliffs fade away before the shoreline is out of view.
