I think there are times where the river runs a bit lower and there's a much clearer reflection on the surface that happens. I'd seen some photos of this Abbey and really wanted to make my way out of the city for a day so hopped on the bus out to the countryside to try for some photos. I found this one pretty challenging as the bank didn't really line up square with the structure and due to its height also made it tricky to line up in a shot that could accentuate some of the sunset sky colours. But I did take forever to get out there so still wanted to give a shot at putting together one of the shots from the day. There was a trade off too where as the sunset more the trees cast shadow distractedly on the structure but when that had passed the intense light of the sunset was gone so there was more of cold stillness with a very smooth river look with a better reflection from the longer exposures. In the end for now I've gone with brighter more intense version.
